Director of Immunopathology Laboratory
The Department is pleased to announce the appointment of Giorgio Inghirami, MD as Vice Chair for Hematopathology.
As many of you know, Dr. Inghirami joined our Department in September 2013, as Director of the Immunopathology Laboratory. He is a distinguished scientist and accomplished academic hematopathologist, internationally recognized as an expert in the morphologic, flow cytometric and molecular diagnosis and characterization of malignant lymphomas, both for clinical diagnosis and research. Dr. Inghirami will continue to serve as Director of the Immunopathology Laboratory.
Giorgio succeeds Dr. Attilio Orazi, who is joining the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas, as Chair of Pathology.
