Gynecologic and Perinatal Pathology Fellowship

We are now accepting fellowship applications for 2025-2026.
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of Weill Cornell Medical Center (WMC) offers a one-year non-ACGME-accredited Gynecologic & Perinatal Pathology Fellowship. The fellowship combines diagnostic training and research opportunities in the pathology of female genital tract disease and reproduction. New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus accessions over 11,000 gynecologic/perinatal specimens per year that are handled in the Divisions of Gynecologic and Perinatal Pathology. Fellow’s responsibilities include participation in sign-out of both frozen sections and permanent specimens, presentation at weekly Gynecologic Oncology Tumor Board and other intra- and interdepartmental conferences. The fellow is expected to participate in the teaching and supervision of residents. Research opportunities, including clinicopathologic and molecular studies, are supported by a departmentally-funded Center for Translational Pathology that offers a wide array of services. Fellows are encouraged to participate in ongoing basic and/or translational research projects in collaboration with the faculty members.

Requirements

Candidates must have completed a 4-years AP/CP residency or a 3-years AP residency.

Types and Numbers of Appointments

One position is available each academic year.

Stipends

Salaries are commensurate with the level of post-graduate training in Pathology.
