The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking an academic cytopathologist for full-time appointment at the Assistant or Associate level to join the current group of cytopathologists. The cytopathology team is composed of 6 FTE cytopathologists and nine cytotechnologists, headed by Dr. Momin Siddiqui. The service is a mixture of gynecological, non-gynecological, and fine needle aspiration cytology with active interventional radiology, thoracic, gastrointestinal, and thyroid services.

Ours is an active service with strong relationships with the Divisions of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Medical Oncology, and several divisions within the Department of Surgery, which includes an active liver transplant service. These clinical practices, our outreach laboratory services, and a robust consultation practice provide us with a large number of biopsy and resection specimens from the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system, which include a variety of inflammatory and neoplastic conditions.
