Please join us in congratulating Dr. Ethel Cesarman and her collaborators on receiving a four-year $1M grant from the NIH to develop a novel testing approach for Kaposi’s sarcoma (KS).
The study is a collaboration between Dr. Cesarman’s laboratory and laboratories at Cornell University, UCSF and the Infectious Diseases Institute in Kampala, Uganda.

Dr. Cesarman and her colleagues will develop an approach that can be used in the field to diagnose KS in regions of the world where the incidence of KS is high but access to medical care is limited.
