We are pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Tyler, PhD, Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, as Diversity Champion representing the Department. Jessica is highly passionate about promoting diversity and parity in academia.
Jessica currently serves as co-chair of the General Faculty Council. They are currently developing a campus wide survey to further provide feedback and ideas from the WCM community to give to the administration on how they can promote anti-racism. Jessica and her colleagues are currently developing a book club for the WCM community to discuss Ibram X. Kendi’s book “How to Be an Antiracist”.
We believe Jessica is well suited for this role.
